AVCO Vision: Soul Covers (RSD Black Friday Release) (Vinyl)

AVCO Records was a record label started in 1968 by music producers/composers Hugo Peretti and Luigi Creatore together with film and TV producer Joseph E. Levine as Avco Embassy Records. Many of the artists on their roster, including Donnie Elbert, the Softones, Chocolate Syrup, Limmie & the Family Cookin' and Della Reese, recorded their soulful takes of popular songs including Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love”, Donovan’s “Hurdy Gurdy Man”, The Supremes’ “Reflections” and “Love Is Here & Now You’re Gone”.

This RSD Black Friday vinyl collection also contains Eugene Pitt & The Jive Five’s cover of Bob Dylan’s “Lay Lady Lay” which has not been released since 1972. The package is 140g black vinyl in an old-style tip-on full color jacket, with full color labels, wrap and RSD Black Friday sticker.
