Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning : A Companion EP (Gold Coloured Vinyl)

Bright Eyes recorded new versions of a selection of songs from their classic albums for each "companion" EP in their reissue series, with guest appearances from friends and collaborators, and a cover of a song from "an artist they found particularly inspiring at the time of the original recording." The 'I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning' companion includes their rendition of Townes Van Zandt's "Fare Thee Well, Miss Carousel," and they tackled its songs in the electronic style of the simultaneously released 'Digital Ash in a Digital Urn.'
