15 th . A bonus track from the original sessions, Midnight Shining—written with super-

As every true Li fan knows, this is the album you rinse. “I Never Learn” cemented Li’s
status as an iconic songwriter, earning her the title High Priestess of Heartbreak. These
are songs “for the times when heartbreak is so life-affirming that you want to share the feeling with the world” (Pitchfork, Best New Music). It’s a “gloriously raw” album (Rolling Stone), “epic and incredibly intimate” (Stereogum), “extraordinary as both a collection of songs and a tactical re-wiring of her genre's circuit board” (NPR).
Written with her longtime collaborator Bjorn Yttling, “I Never Learn” was the final
installment of the trilogy that started with ‘Youth Novels’ in 2008 and ‘Wounded Rhymes’
in 2011. It went on to achieve a whole host of accolades, including Album of the Year
lists around the world: Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Vulture, Billboard, Complex, and others.
Li released a remix of the lead single “No Rest for the Wicked” featuring ASAP Rocky.
Following ‘I Never Learn,” Li went on a streak. She released her fourth album ‘So Sad
So Sexy,’ co-wrote many of the songs on Mark Ronson’s “Late Night Feelings,” wrote
for movies and TV, and then recorded 2022’s ‘Eyeye’—a major creative swerve. Her hit
“I Follow Rivers” continues to be played on the dance floor every night around the world.
In 2022, Li’s audiovisual album EYEYE was presented as an immersive art exhibition in
the Los Angeles Broad Museum. In 2019, Li and her partners of YOLA Mezcal hosted
the all-female music and arts festival, YOLA DÍA, featuring performances by Li, Megan
Thee Stallion, Courtney Love, SOPHIE, and more. Last year, she performed with a 50-
piece orchestra for four sold-out nights in Sweden. Outside of music, Li also has an
esteemed acting career, starring in the Terrence Malick film ‘Song to Song’ (2017) and
the Tarik Saleh film ‘Tommy’ (2014).
