Returns Policy
We allow items to be exchanged if in perfect condition, within 30 days of purchase and a receipt. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you an exchange. Vinyl needs to be sealed in original packaging, we don't exchange opened vinyl. We only offers refunds if a product is faulty. We do not refund if you change your mind, we are happy to exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Refunds (if applicable)
We only offers refunds if a product is faulty. We need to be contacted by email within 30 days of purchase. We do not offer refunds for change of mind. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.
Vinyl Records Returns
Any records which are returned faulty will be checked on our instore turntable. If we are not able to reproduce the fault we will return the record, return postage will need to be paid by the customer. Before sending records back please email us at info@happyvalleyshop.com
We need ALL records tested on another turntable to rule out if it is the turntable before they are returned to the shop.
Some record players will not play some records, we recommend that you use a record player that can be adjusted if needed (including tone arm weight, anti-skate, tone arm height).
If the problem persists after making any turntable adjustments we suggest trying the record on another turntable. Records, even new records, should be cleaned with professional cleaning solutions.
With Crosley, Fenton, Flea Market & vintage players and similar other non-adjustable (automatic) style players WE WILL NOT accept returns due to skipping or any other fault if this is your player. This also applies to the Audio Technica automatic, which we refuse to sell due to skipping/skating issues. PLEASE NOTE : Unfortunately these turntables are unreliable, so some records will have issues due to the player, especially on Track 1 either side.
A small degree of warp is common, turntable tonearms are designed to compensate for it. Unless a warp or surface scratches/marks affect playback we don't do exchanges/refunds. As vinyl is a handmade product, sometimes there are small chips or irregularities on vinyl edges. Also bubbles on the inner labels sometimes occur. Unless playback is affected, we don't exchange/refund.
If we can replicate your playback issue, we will offer an exchange (depending on availability of stock) or refund. If the record is not faulty you will need to pay postage to get the record sent back.
Colour variant releases may look slightly different to the pack shot images record labels provide retailers. It is also common for some vinyl colour pigment to vary as each vinyl is unique. This does not affect vinyl playback and we don't exchange/refund due to this factory manufacturing process.
Vinyl Pre-Orders
Many vinyl titles are super limited, sometimes orders may have to been cancelled and refunded due to our suppliers unable to fulfill our orders. We will contact you as soon as we are notified by our suppliers. In the last 12 months this has happened less than 1% of our orders, but did does happen occasionally.
Sale items
Only regular priced items may be exchanged, unfortunately sale items cannot be exchanged.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
