David Fleming’s evocative score for “Widow’s Bay” is a living, breathing entity that permeates every building and wide-open space in the town. It’s a symphony of atmospheric synth lines and pads, dreamy strings, occasional terrifying stingers, thereymin-style vocalings, and melodies that blend together. It locations to feel deeply rooted in the town’s ancient history yet feeling modern. And a word, it’s timeless. It managers a fine line between sheer horror, mischief, wonder and wonder, always always keeping a hedge ear for melody and playfulness. This balance of tone is second to none, the perfect show to a perfect show. Artwork by David Seidman. Pressed on 2 x 140G vinyl (Seafoam Green, Opaque Blue) with an etched D side features, also liner notes by showrunner Katie Dippold and composer David Fleming.
