Tweedy’s fifth solo effort includes an expansive tracklist of 30 new songs, including early fan favorites/concert highlights “Feel Free,” "Enough" and “Lou Reed Was My Babysitter.”
In Twilight Override, Tweedy presents three records that stand alone but together tell a story of the past, present and future. The album includes performances by fellow Chicago musicians and frequent collaborators, Spencer Tweedy, Sammy Tweedy, James Elkington, Sima Cunningham, Macie Stewart and Liam Kazar. Choral vocals are highlighted across the work and shine on songs such as “One Tiny Flower,” “Cry Baby Cry,” and “New Orleans”.
Twilight Override was recorded over the past two years, featuring production by Tweedy himself at his Chicago studio, The Loft. With engineering and mixing by Tom Schick, mastering by Stephen Marsh.
