Across seven critically acclaimed studio albums, Ellison has carved out a distinct sonic universe - fusing jazz, hip-hop, IDM, soul, and psychedelic textures - while collaborating with a staggering array of artists including Thom Yorke, Erykah Badu, Thundercat, David Lynch, and Kendrick Lamar, notably contributing production to the Pulitzer Prize-winning To Pimp a Butterfly. His production on Thundercat's 2020 album It Is What It Is earned him a Grammy® Award for Best Progressive R&B Album, and another nod for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical that year.
